Drive belts from us guarantee top performance day in, day out. Despite being subjected to considerable mechanical, chemical and thermal loads, they offer unbeatable safety, reliability and economical operation. To maintain the high performance level and reliability of vehicle drive systems, drive belts, tensioners and idlers should be replaced at the recommended intervals. Types of Belts offered are V type, Ribbed V type, Timing Belts, Special transmission and high temperature belts.
Couplings are mechanical elements that ‘couples’ two drive elements which enables motion to be transferred from one element to another. The drive elements are normally coaxial shafts. Appropriate alignment of the coupled shafts (or driven shaft to flywheel) is a fundamental requirement for any coupling installation.
Tyre Couplings are highly elastic, lubrication free couplings that tolerate large amounts of misalignment in all planes as well as offering simple installation and inspection without disrupting the drive. These couplings also have excellent shock absorbing properties while reducing vibration and torsional oscillations.
Jaw Couplings offer a range of hub and element variants absorbing incidental misalignment, shock loads and small amplitude vibrations. Jaw couplings offer a low cost flexible solution for most applications.
Advantage of Jaw coupling being: Ease of alignment. Fail-safe shaft connection. Range of element materials available. Pump spacer variant and Quick-fit wrap around element available.
They are mainly used in areas where the two shafts are coaxial to each other. Rigid couplings provide a convenient method of rigidly connecting the ends of shafts. Taper bushes permit easier and quicker fixing to the shafts with the firmness of a shrunk-on-fit.
A pulley is simply a collection of one or more wheels over which you loop a rope to make it easier to lift things. Pulleys are examples of what scientists call simple machines. That doesn’t mean they’re packed with engines and gears; it just means they help us multiply forces. If you want to lift a really heavy weight, there’s only so much force your muscles can supply, even if you are the world’s strongest man. But use a simple machine such as a pulley and you can effectively multiply the force your body produces.
CHAIN & SPROCKET ASSEMBLY
Chain drive is a way of transmitting mechanical power from one place to another. A sprocket or sprocket-wheel is a profiled wheel with teeth, cogs, or even sprockets that mesh with a chain, track or other perforated or indented material. The name ‘sprocket’ applies generally to any wheel upon which radial projections engage a chain passing over it. It is distinguished from a gear in that sprockets are never meshed together directly, and differs from a pulley in that sprockets have teeth and pulleys are smooth.
